On a green grassland, an oval hut is very eye-catching. Opening the glass door and walking in, there were oval portholes behind the two sofas-it was like walking into an airplane cabin. In fact, this cabin was really renovated by an airplane.
"We have no plans to sell them." Kevin Regan from northwest Ireland said on the phone, then glanced at the cabin.
Kevin transformed part of the plane into a clean and durable home office. After his sister-in-law posted photos of the office on social media, purchase requests followed and things began to snowball.
Today, Reagan and his business partner Shaun Thornton-both builders-have opened a company called Aeropod that recycles commercial aircraft and turns them into home offices, luxury camping cabins and more.
The aircraft is made of strong aluminum alloy so that it can last for a long time and can be recycled and renovated for a long time. It is estimated that about 15,000 aircraft will be retired in the next 20 years, so there is a stable supply of aircraft for disassembly and recycling.
